Four Masters U14
The Four Masters U14 girls in Celebratory mood.
Semi final result.
           Four Masters : 2-10.     Carndonagh.  : 3-02.
The Four Masters  U14  girls qualified for the Final with an Outstanding performance against a very strong  Carndonagh team, at home in very testing weather with rain falling steadily all day conditions were very testing, The Four Masters girls started very well and knocked over a couple of points before Carndonagh got a point on the board . Four Masters girls got another point before Carndonagh got a very fortuitous goal that looked like it was going over the bar but dropped into the net, with the rain abasing our girls started to get the upper hand and tagged on a few more points, but through to form Carndonagh came back with 2 further goals to lead by 5 points in the closing stages of the first half, but our girls really dug deep when Aoife Cox sent in an inch perfect high ball where Aisling Kee flicked it to the net , leaving the score at halftime, 1-05 to 3-01 to Carndonagh, Second half began very brightly with our girls starting to take control of the game, point after point came for our girls as we emptied our bench and our fitness started to tell as Carndonagh could only muster a single point in the second half, and to rub salt into their wounds Aoife Cox scored a goal to seal a Fantastic win in front of a very large Vocal  home Crowd, This was truly a Team effort as every single girl played outstanding football throughout and we’re great value for their Win. Our girls now play Buncrana on Bank Holiday Monday the 6th at 1pm at Red Hugh’s pitch. Please come and Support the girls as we want as many supporters as possible as we hope to bring the cup back to Donegal Town.
The Four Masters U14 Girls won the County Division 2 Championship on Monday 6th August against Buncrana on a score line of 3-07 to 1-03 Well done to all involved.
