u14 girls

The u14 girls travelled to buncrana on monday nite and came away with a hard fought 2pt win..captain for the nite sarah canney won toss and decided to play against the strong wind in the first half.we went a goal down in the first attack but the girls responded well with a goal of our own from leah boyle…midway through the half we lost ellen canavan to a harsh sinbinning for ten minutes…the girls dug deep against the win and an extra player and we went in at half time only three points down 1-1 to 1-4…in the second half with the breeze at our backs the girls attacked in waves and only for some poor shooting we would have been  ahead sooner..a goal for ellen canavan responded to a goal for buncranna..both sides traded points and after a goal by sarah canney put us one point up with 3mins to go….ellen tagged on another point and the girls held on for a great victory….excellent team performance .scorers on the nite  leah boyle 1-0,ellen canavan 1-4,sarah canney 1-0,holly roarty 0-1.

Young Leaders Programme

A Chara,

Ulster GAA is delighted to announce it’s new Young Leaders Programme targeting outstanding young GAA volunteers from across Ulster’s nine counties. This exciting and innovative programme will be the first of its kind in Ulster and has been made possible with the support of the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund.

The Programme will be delivered through a Leadership Academy targeting young people aged 16-24 and will run across 4 days – 23rd, 24th, 30th & 31st July 2018 in Tyrone GAA Garvaghey Centre. It will include a 25-hour Club Placement at their local club with the placement being overseen by a club mentor who will help the young people put the knowledge learned into practice.

Ulster GAA believe this programme will be one of a kind for GAA volunteers in Ulster, initially targeting three 16-24 year olds from each county in Ulster.

All those interested in applying for the Young Leaders Academy should fill out the form here or contact Ashelene Groogan via phone: 028 37517 180 / email: ashelene.groogan.ulster@gaa.ie or post: Ulster GAA, Ceannaras Uladh, 8-10 Market Street, Armagh, BT61 7BX.
