LADIES:

Ladies training times

Four Masters hurling and camogie section are looking for any “retired helmets”! We will gladly accept any old or unused helmets lying around gathering dust. Perhaps your own playing days are over and here’s a great chance to help the future players of the club. Donations will be gladly accepted at trainings or by any coach.

Hurling

The u8, u10 & u12 hurlers are seeking players to bolster their numbers. So far the u12 team has fulfilled all fixtures with low numbers and have once or twice fallen short of the official number of 9 but still played their matches anyway. Across the three teams there is a core group of keen hurlers who could do with some help from their fellow club members. The u8 and u10 team play blitzes once a month but unfortunately are also struggling for numbers.
A lot of players in the club have enjoyed hurling in the academy, at school and at summer camps down through the years and would be well able to hurl on these teams. This small group of lads enjoy their hurling tremendously and some help from their fellow club mates would ensure that they can fulfill their fixtures and be a little bit more competitive.
It’s a fantastic sport and helps boys develop hand eye coordination and can improve reaction times which is beneficial to other sports. The risk of injury is no higher than any other sport and it is such an enjoyable and skilful fast game.

All our coaches have coaching certificates and are Garda Vetted with some involved at inter county level also. You can contact Laurence u8 at 0877532705, Fergal u10 at 087344598 and Lorcan u12 at 0871354564

Under 13 Girls

The Four Masters U13 girls were at home for their second league game on Saturday Morning against near neighbours St Nauls. On front of a great crowd and in a tough hard fought exciting encounter, the Masters girls work rate won out with a deserved win on a score line of 6-03 to 3-01. The home side were on top throughout the match with each girl winning their individual battles, brilliant defending and excellent well worked early scores gave the Masters the edge. All credit to St Nauls who didn’t give up at any point and came back strong in the second half and finished well. With 2 wins from 2 outings the Four Masters U13 girls next game is away to Termon next weekend.
