Four Masters hurling and camogie section are looking for any “retired helmets”! We will gladly accept any old or unused helmets lying around gathering dust. Perhaps your own playing days are over and here’s a great chance to help the future players of the club. Donations will be gladly accepted at trainings or by any coach.

U12 hurling resumes, training Tuesday 7-8, matches every Thursday 23rd June through to Sept. New players needed!! Contact Lorcan at 0871354564 if interested.

Four Master’s U12 girls travelled to O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny to play our annual all county blitz. Due to a clash of events, we had to travel with just 12 players for an 11 a side competition.  Our girls did Four Master’s proud with some great performances.  First up was Termon.  On what was a very blustery day, all games had 1 good half & one tough half.  Luckily we got off to a strong start with a 1-2 to 1 point lead at half time, and we held out to win by a point with all scores coming from Aoife C. Next up were Naomh Columba and again we started well winning by 2-2 to 1 point at half time – including a well judged goal by Emma S.  2-1 in the second half (featuring an excellent goal from Holly T) ensured a good victory.  Tiredness started to set in when we played a strong St Eunans team.  We failed to score in the first half and conceded some early goals but we went on to win the second half by 4 points to 1 in a valiant effort by all the girls. Emma K & Jessica got their first points in this game.  Even more exhausted we took on Buncrana next in a game we could have won.  Wind very strong and swirling at this stage both teams just managed 2 scores in this game.  Unfortunately, Buncrana got 2 goals and we only got 2 points from Aoife C & Emma S.  The girls rallied round and with sheer grit & determination saw them secure a great victory in their final match vs Convoy. A goal & a point from our top scorer Aoife C together with a point each from Holly T and Jessica gave us a 1-3 half time lead.  Showing great energy in the second half and against the strong breeze we continued to score with a lovely goal from Jessica and points from Aoife C & Holly T to finish out with a great win.  All players contributed to a great blitz but particular thanks to the girls who stood in goals for the first time as we had no goalie with us – Holly R, Grace, Aoife S, Tori and Emma S.  The girls can be very proud of their performance on Sunday 11th June 2017

Under 10’s Boys
Huge well done goes to the Four Masters U10 Boys Football team who won the A Cup in the Joe ‘Larry’ Gallagher Memorial Competition in Ardara on the June bank holiday Monday. With 24 clubs taking part and over 500 players, huge credit goes to John McConnell and Ardara for organising a great competition. We entered two teams on the day with both teams doing themselves and the club proud. In the group games our older U10 team defeated Gaoth Dobhair after a tough game before defeating Naomh Muire well in their second game. Our younger U10 team drew with Gaoth Dobhair before putting on a great display against Naomh Muire. The competition was then split into a Cup, Shield and Plate in the A’s and B’s. Our younger U10 team lost out to Buncrana after extra time in the Shield competition in a game they dominated possession but couldn’t put the scores on the board. Buncrana went onto win the shield with our boys giving them their biggest test in the competition. Our older U10 team defeated Buncrana in an end to end game in the cup quarter finals before putting in an outstanding display in the semi finals against Cloughaneely winning the game by double digit scores with 18 players getting a run out in this game. The cup final pitted us against Naomh Conaill who had defeated Naomh Columba in their semi final after extra time. The boys had a bad start to the final, being 5-2 down at half time but they dug deep and showed great character to win out 8-7 with a number of superb points including a late Zach Campbell score to seal the win. Conor McCahill who had an put in some excellent performances on the day accepted the Cup on behalf of the U10’s. The boys were then treated to a meal in Dom’s on their arrival home, thanks to Michael and Ger for accomodating us at short notice. Thanks goes to all the coaches for their continued good work, all the players for their excellent efforts and good attitudes, and to the parents for their continued support & help. Training continues on Wednesday from 4:45pm to 6pm in Tir Conaill Park. New players always welcome. Report by Pauric Harvey (U10 coach).

Under 12’s Boys

Our u.12 division team welcomed Naomh Brid tonight to Tir Conaill Park in our final league game. What a game it  turned out to be. End to end stuff at championship pace the large crowd were treated to a cracker with the final score 2-10 to 2-10. Both teams deserve great credit and in particular the sporting manner in which the players and supporters had the bit a banter! #no1; underage football
