gathering dust. Perhaps your own playing days are over and here’s a great chance to help the future players of the club. Donations will be gladly accepted at trainings or by any coach.
Anyone lucky enough to be in Tir Chonaill Park on Tuesday (23rd May) evening witnessed a great game of ladies football by 2 progressing U12 teams Four Master’s vs Glenfin.  They were very evenly matched teams & Four Master’s eventually emerged as winners.  There was great displays of teamwork & passing. Many of our younger players got more game time than normaland they performed very well.  Jessica scored 2 points, Aoife C scored 2 goals 2 points, Ella – normally in defence – scored a great goal, and Leah scored a goal & 3 points.  Aisling in goals pulled off some great catches.  Aoife, Kayleigh, Victoria, Grace and Anna all defended well.  There was some great battling by Tori, Ava, Emma and Holly.  Everyone played their part in a great victory. Thanks to Ronan for taking on the thankless task of refereeing.

Hurling

Congratulations to our u14 hurlers who travelled away to Carndonagh and won their divisional league final. All the lads played fantastic in a great close game of  hurling. Thomas Ó Buachalla lead by example as captain while Jack Myers and Evan Gallagher were sterling throughout. Mark Jordan, Ciaran Rodgers and Ross O’Keeney were superb up front. The unsung heroes were our u12 trio of Jamie Carr, Colm McDermott and Liam Quinn solid in defence. The new additions to the team played admirably and were a huge part of the win. These included Diarmuid Slevin, Ki Briers and Jamie Gorrell. Oisin Burke contributed a point and pulled off some great saves when in goals. Dermot McGuckian was brilliant in midfield while Matthew McNamee battled hard and Patrick Devlin made some great catches and passes.

The lads lead by a point at half time after going behind to an early goal and point. Carndonagh hit a purple patch and were 7 points ahead with 15 minutes to go. Four Master’s dug deep and put pressure on the Carn defence and pic outs. Some fluid passing and inter play saw Rossa O’Keeney double up on a lovely through ball from Rodgers to take the lead. Ó Buachalla hit two consolation points to earn a great team effort a memorable win. Well done to all involved.

CAMOGIE:  U14s

Our U14s were in the final of the Championship Shield on Monday, 29th May in Convoy Centre of Excellence against Burt.  Once the girls took the lead they kept it, fighting hard for every ball, but scores were all square at full time so extra time was needed.  Again they battled hard and gained the lead, but Burt came back to take the game by one point.  Exhausted and heartbroken the girls were magnanimous in defeat – every girl gave 100% and should be so proud of their performance.  Next big match now will be Feile in Kilkenny 16-18 June and if they can perform the way they did on Monday we will come home very proud of them and who knows……..
